ABOUT TASHAPA

About us

Tashapa Consultancy was established to address one of the defining challenges of our time and to make the route through it clear, practical and financially sound for every organisation we work with.

Sustainability is not a trend. It is the foundation of a resilient business.

Our mission is to empower organisations to embed sustainability across their value chains, driving financial success, protecting the planet and uplifting the communities in which they operate.

We are building that route for every organisation we work with, from listed corporates to SMEs, from financial institutions to public sector entities and state-owned enterprises, and in high-impact sectors such as mining and farming. Our aim is to make sure that no organisation, in Zimbabwe or anywhere else, is left behind simply because it did not know where to start.

Our message is about prosperity. We do not ask organisations to pursue sustainability for its own sake. Your aim as an organisation is to be sustainable and to be prosperous, and we show you how the first leads to the second.

WHY WE EXIST

Built for the challenge organisations face right now

Tashapa Consultancy was established in direct response to one of the most urgent and consequential challenges of our time: the accelerating pressure on organisations in Zimbabwe, across Africa and around the world to move towards sustainable, resilient and future-fit business models.

The global context is not abstract. According to the World Health Organisation, climate change already contributes to humanitarian emergencies through heatwaves, floods and extreme weather events.

Why we built the highway

Professor Ven Tauringana was delivering training when he realised that training on its own is not enough. You can train someone, but that does not mean they will become sustainable, so organisations need a full service. Working through the process of committing to net zero, and completing certificates in sustainable finance, he set out what an organisation actually needs to do to reach sustainability. That became the six strands of The Highway to Organisational Prosperity Through Sustainability.

Why sustainability matters

We envision a world where organisations across Africa and beyond achieve lasting success by putting sustainability at the centre of how they operate, nurturing people, protecting the planet and securing a thriving future for generations to come.
